Morrissey ‎– Very Best Of

Through his time as front-man of the Smiths and subsequent enduring solo career, Morrissey has cemented his place as one of the true UK music icons. This position has ensured him a large, dedicated fan base and significant commercial success: To date he has notched up 33 Top-40 solo singles (with 10 in the Top 10) and 11 Top-10 solo albums. This lasting success has not been limited to his early career either, with his last three studio albums charting No. 2, No 1 and No 3 respectively. Following on from the 2010 reissues of Bona Drag (5.5k sold OTC) and Everyday Is Like Sunday (over 10k sold OTC), the Morrissey catalogue campaign continues with the Very Best Of, a unique overview of the HMV/Parlophone years. As such, the album brings together hit singles (Suede head (UK No. 5), Everyday Is Like Sunday (UK No. 9) and the More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get (UK No. 8), amongst others), with b-sides (Girl Least Likely To, Such a Little Thing Makes a Big Difference) and the previously unreleased solo version of Interlude (originally released in 1994 as a duet with Siouxsie Sioux).
